JamBase is reporting a last-minute change in venue for two of the last four East Coast Big Summer Classic dates. So for all of you fine folks headed to the New York and Connecticut shows, take a memo on your Newtons:
The 7/21 Brooklyn show originally scheduled for Coney Island’s Keyspan Park will now take place at the Prospect Park Bandshell. I’m sure Prospect Park will play good host to the BSC, but after seeing the popular rock band Phish there for two nights in June 2004, this is a little bit of a bummer.
And the 7/24 show originally scheduled for Yale Field will now take place at Ives Concert Park in Danbury, CT. Unlike Keyspan, I have no personal experience with Connecticut, so draw your own damn conclusions.
Despite the venue changes, I’m sure this mini-festival will still rip your face off and eat it raw. I don’t even know what that means.
