YES! Other than 311, I really did not find any band that would really get me out to the brand new Lakefront Pavillion in Chicago. It’s amazing how this venue actually came to fruition; Mayor Daley (think Mayor Quimby) actually bull-dozed Miegs Field over the weekend without telling anyone. On Monday morning, Chicago had a s***-fit over it.

The site has undergone quite a transformation since Chicago City Hall’s unannounced raid two years ago demolished the runways. Mayor Daley wants to put a nature park at Northerly Island. The deal with Clear Channel to run the lakefront pavilion will help pay for the multi-million dollar park. It’s a temporary deal, officials said.

Temporary deal, my ass. Clear Channel gets to move in and take over a venue that the city should have the sense to control themselves. At any rate, I’ll be rocking to Trey and and some crazy hasidic reggae (if that even makes sense).
