Bandcamp has been successfully setting aside a day a month for artists on their platform and waiving the revenue fee that they usually from a purchase a fan makes. This, plus driving traffic to the platform overall, has resulted in a HUGE boon to some artists that have invested in the platform and made their music available there in the fans’ desired formats (and not just for streaming). And coming up tomorrow, Friday, July 3rd, they’ll be waiving the revenue share fee once again.
