The Beale Street Music Festival takes place in Memphis each Spring to kick off the month-long celebration of music known as “Memphis in May.” The festival draws in sixty performers playing on four different stages and features a party-like atmosphere which has earned it the nickname of “The of the Mid-South.”

Judging by the line-up, the 2007 should be at least as fun as those of days past. This year they’ve line up performances by musicians as varied as and Jerry Lee Lewis, Godsmack and , and and . And with the likes of the , , Gov’t Mule, , etc…they’ve got some big guitar talent, leaning heavilyy towards classic blues and Southern rock.
