DAY TWO: Saturday, May 11th, 2019
Day two kicked off early with workshops and even morning yoga, and kudos to the festival for booking an actual fitness partner Equinox to provide ways for people to get healthy before a full day of arts and music.
We caught artists like Louise Chen, Destroyer, Pussy Riot, Miya Folick, Khruangbin, Kelsey Lu, Anderson .Paak and The Free Nationals, and Kaytranada to close out the day.
Strolling from the camping area to the festival is about a mile or so with a little bit of a hill, but you don’t really need to do this too many times per day.
Plus it’s fun little stroll and maybe you’ll even walk by Dan Bejar of Destroyer.
If you decide to take the path on the other side of the canyon you’ll be rewarded nicely and have a perfect view of the entire Arcosanti complex itself.
This is 100% of the camping area in terms of size, the RV area is on the upper part of the complex.
Arcosanti, Arizona is incredible on its own truly, but to see a festival hosted in this environment was nothing short of magical.
This is where they make the bells, the apse. This was the Fantastic Funghi and Where to Find Them workshop.
Perfect weather for a quick dip in the pool 😎🌞
Louise Chen got DJ duties from 12pm-5pm and kept people bumping all day.
Vibes = strong 🍻
“If you’re going to San Francisco…”
The Apse area hosted a Destroyer (solo) set
The front seats in this venue made for wonderfully intimate viewing experiences
Spirit Animals for Day Two 👬🏳️🌈
This ⬆️⬆️⬆️ was the right vibe for Saturday, because … Pussy Riot!
This. Was. Bonkers!
Fight against Putin!
A truly impressive multi-cultural, multi-language, no-holds-barred set of music and stage presence, not something you’ll ever want to miss
Crowd was loving it 🙌🏻
Miya Folick shared a shift in vibe and sensibility that worked perfect for the time of the set in the Apse area…
The view from above
Khruangbin was a highly anticipated set for us in the crew and they delivered in a fantastic way in the Amp. “Thanks for that cool cat for opening up for us…” was a moment I won’t soon forget, as Leon the cat strolled out while the audience was waiting and took a little bow before the band came to the stage.

They’ve patented their own form of syncopated funkiness
No surprise that the crowd was feeling this one hard as well
“Hello, Arcosanti? This is the Third Room.”
Kelsey Lu delivered a soulful and meditative set as the night descended on the village…
Then, well…Anderson .Paak brought that 🔥 the main headliner on Day Two and really showed off behind the drumkit set stage center…
Dude is so talented it’s like, frustrating. What a player.
He had the crowd hanging on every moment…
As the full crowded Amp settled back in for Kaytranada, no major surprise that you’d see Paak back out and a chance for their collabs to see the stage…
The Amp was full all night and packed to the gils.
