Brian Kelley Announces ‘Sunshine State of Mind Season Two, Chapter One’ Set for June 20 Release
Country heavyweight Brian Kelley doubles down on his signature "Palm Tree Country" sound with the bold June 20 release of Sunshine State of Mind Season Two, Chapter One.

DIAMOND-selling Country superstar Brian Kelley has revisited a batch of music he first started with the release of Sunshine State of Mind Season One in 2021, and on June 20, he’ll deliver the 14-track follow-up Sunshine State of Mind Season Two, Chapter One.
“This album just takes you somewhere. It’s all about that ‘Sunshine State of Mind,’ and really spreading the good vibes. I just love these songs, and I love that majority were written during Season One. It was such a special time, and a cool chapter of my life that’s still so applicable to who I am, and who I’m always gonna be,” shares Kelley. “This record is really cool having recorded two albums in-between (Tennessee Truth and Ed & Mary Margaret’s Son), and just allowing life, opportunities, and creativity take me where it took me.”
Co-writing the full-length project under producer Katlin Owen (with select production credits by Corey Crowder and Jake Rose), Season Two, Chapter One is anchored in a Coastal Country vibe that Kelley’s dubbing “Palm Tree Country.” Further inspired by his Floridian upbringing, he ultimately credits his parents for his “Sunshine State of Mind” way-of-life.
“That’s how I was brought up – with that ‘Sunshine State of Mind.’ Life is going to throw you curveballs but don’t sweat the small stuff,” adds Kelley. “My parents have always been super positive, and that ‘Sunshine State of Mind’ is rooted in how I was raised, and their mindset throughout life has been a light to me. Hopefully, I can carry that on, and be a light in my music, my live show, and my vibe.”
