Tonight: STS9 @ The Fox Theater, Oakland

I’m going across the Bay today to the Fox Theater in Oakland for STS9’s first return to the area since their Fillmore run last year. This will be only my second time at the reopened venue, but it’s a beauty and a perfect room for the band to do their thing in. I know Sammy will be there.
I hope they play this tune as the opener.
thats amazing that you randomly called the opener. I thought the show was mediocre, to be honest. didnt think the energy built and built but rather ebbed and flowed. i was sitting down for almost half the show, to be honest, and i love this band. but the theatre is indeed absolutely beautiful, and we are blessed to be able to see live music there. yeah it was pretty darn epic. they built and built that show to a total climax. the longer they played the better they sounded. the jamtronica scene is alive and well…and like LMB said the fox theater in oakland is so dope. for those of you who don’t know- it was a vaudevillian era theater, 1920’s???. it’s doors shut in the late 60’s and it stayed an empty heap until they put 80 million into to and brought it back to life…dragonesq buddahs and all. i love that venue. and was surprised to see so many open seats at such a great show,,,,

last night’s show was insane. the boys keep tightening up their performance and are truly at their peak now. one long set followed by an encore at the one of the best venues in the bay area. fox theatre is stunning and the staff is awesome! phenomenal night!!!
