Jazz Fest 2013 Tickets and VIP Packages On Sale Tomorrow 12/1/12

The first big news to come out for the 2013 edition, the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival announced today that all tickets for next year’s event, to be held April 26-28 and May 2-5, will go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 1. The music lineup for the 44th edition of the Jazz & Heritage Festival will be released in January. Last year’s Festival drew over 450,000 people with an impressively lineup that included Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, The Beach Boys, My Morning Jacket, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Bon Iver, Gary Clark Jr., Florence and the Machine and was notably capped by Preservation Hall Jazz Band’s 50th Anniversary Celebration.
Advanced single-day tickets for Jazz Fest, which takes place at the Fair Grounds Race Course, are only $45 through mid to late January, when the price will be $50. The gate price ticket will again be $65. Children’s tickets (ages 2 – 10) are still only $5 and are available at the gate only. Single day tickets to Jazz Fest are on sale by specific weekend, with each ticket valid for a single day’s attendance.
All of the Festival’s VIP packages will also go on sale while very limited supplies last. The Jazz Festival offers three distinct VIP opportunities to experience the event in style: the Festival’s popular Big Chief VIP Experience ticket package provides special viewing access at most of the Festival’s stages; the Grand Marshal VIP Pass allows for up-close access at the three major stages; and the Krewe of Jazz Fest VIP Pass which entitles patrons to special covered seating at the Acura Stage audience area.
