SCREAM Edmonton Sells Out 30,000 Tickets Ahead of Halloween Weekend

SCREAM Edmonton has sold out its 2026 edition ahead of Halloween weekend, with 30,000 tickets claimed across the festival’s two nights. The electronic music event will return October 30 and 31 with four stages and a lineup led by Tiësto, Alesso, Chase & Status, Sara Landry and Gryffin. This year’s edition marks another major step in the festival’s growth after expanding to a two-night format in 2025.
In a press release, SCREAM Edmonton’s organizers confirmed that tickets sold out more than two weeks before the festival, with this year’s event spanning more than 228,000 square feet of festival space.
SCREAM’s sellout reflects fans buying into the festival itself, not just a lineup:
- 30x growth over 27 years. SCREAM went from one night at the Polish Hall with roughly 1,000 fans to 30,000 tickets sold across two nights, four stages, and 228,000+ square feet.
- Sold out more than two weeks early. Both nights sold out well ahead of Halloween, in only the second year since SCREAM doubled to a two-night format in 2025.
- Fans paid more to get in first. Weekend GA+, VIP and Ultra VIP passes sold out before general admission. General admission then moved through six pricing tiers before selling out.
- The growth shows in the business. Boodang’s ticket sales rose from about CAD $7.6 million in 2024 to $10.2 million in 2025, up roughly 34% in a single year.
SCREAM began in 1999 as a single night at Edmonton’s Polish Hall, where roughly 1,000 people came to hear DJ and producer John Acquaviva. It grew through two decades of debate with the city over late-night dance events, which ended when Edmonton adopted its Electronic Music Event Bylaw in 2020. Today the festival runs in a City of Edmonton–owned venue and draws fans from across Canada, the United States, the UK and Australia.
