70000TONS OF METAL Reveals First 30 Bands for 2027 Cruise

70000TONS OF METAL is taking shape for 2027, with the heavy metal cruise revealing the first 30 bands booked for its next voyage. Arch Enemy, Exodus, HammerFall, Moonspell and Uli Jon Roth are among the acts currently confirmed, with another 30 bands still to be announced. The four-day event will return to the Caribbean in January with performances, artist events and other activities planned aboard the ship.
In a press release, 70000TONS OF METAL announced that public sales for the 2027 sailing will open Monday, September 7, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. EDT / 18:00 CET through the festival’s official website. Only 3,000 tickets will be available for the cruise.
70000TONS OF METAL 2027 will sail from Miami, FL to Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic and back from January 14-18, 2027, aboard Royal Caribbean’s luxury cruise ship Freedom of the Seas. The festival offers round-the-clock entertainment, from explosive performances on the Biggest Open Air Stage Structure to ever Sail the Open Seas, to artist-hosted activities and events, meet & greets with every band, and the opportunity for fans to mingle with their Heavy Metal Heroes in a unique environment. The currently announced line-up for the 2027 sailing, featuring 30 of the 60 total bands who will take the stage, is:
Continuing the tradition of bringing fans one-of-a-kind events: Finnish “Winter Metal” band WOLFHEART will do a World Live Premiere of their upcoming album during the January 2027 cruise. Footage from this performance will be included in an upcoming music video.
“It is an absolute honor to step on the deck of the mighty 70000TONS OF METAL for the 3rd time, on one of the most majestic metal events in this universe,” said WOLFHEART’s Tuomas Saukkonen. “This time we are bringing something special with us: the world live premiere of our forthcoming album!!!”
