The promoters of Coachella turned some serious heads earlier this week with their announcement of their 2007 music festival lineup. Rage Against the Machine, Jesus & Mary Chain & Crowded House all decided to get back together to play the festival slated for the last weekend in April. The internet friggin’ exploded, so much so that we had our highest traffic day on Live Music Blog ever. (how about that!)
Point is — I think people still want to attend this festival despite the overpriced tickets. Three-day passes are $249, and even though you get a free subscription to Spin with the purchase of tickets, that is still a s***load of money to shill out before you even get to enter the grounds. Those bottles of water better not be any more than $2, otherwise — they’re taking us music fans for an expensive ride down the nostalgia highway…
