Dinosaur Jr. | 2007 Tour Dates

One thing that has always severely hampered my indie rock background and knowledge has been the fact that I came into this scene way too late. I never really got into Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr., the Pixies, etc. Those were the bands that lead the charge on the concept of “underground” music. Indie, college rock, underground, noise-rock, whatever you call it — I was late to figure out that some of this music is just downright phenomenal.

One of the original pillars of this scene was Dinosaur Jr., the trio featuring J. Mascis, Lou Barlow, and Murph. They’re reunited a few years back amid plenty of press on how nasty their original breakup was. Fans determined long ago that there was no chance this band would get back together, and then bam, they went ahead and announced a reunion tour in 2004. They’ve been doing their thing ever since. They’re in the midst of a fairly large tour and I’m sure they’re worth seeing now while they actually still exist as a band. Any fans in the room?
