While I was out at Treasure Island Music Festival freezing my butt off listening to Atoms for Peace and then Beck the next night, Phish played their second and third nights at Hampton Coliseum and webcast the shows for those couch touring along at home. While all accounts on night two keep pointing to the “Ghost” that started the second set, last night’s show got most of the praise with a huge “Tweezer,” “Golden Age” and a left-field bust-out of “Takin’ Care of Business” deep in the second set. Plus both nights they brought the antics of night one back and added a few more tricks to keep people guessing where their head is at (electric drill solos, really?); at least one PT’er as already pointed to Van Halen “Poundcake” off For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge as the obvious clue. Woah!
