Widespread Panic returned to New Orleans on the generally less-crowded fourth day of Jazz Fest to headline the Acura Stage. Today marked Panic’s eighth appearance at the Fest (almost sixteen years to the day after first appearing back in 1997) and 52nd overall performance in New Orleans. Despite ominous skies overlooking the Fairgrounds since load-in this morning, it stayed dry until skies opened up during the “Dirty Side Down > Hatfield” segment of the show. Local keyboardist C.R. Gruver (New Orleans Suspects) joined the band for a “Stop Breakin’ Down Blues” just before a cover of Traffic’s “Dear Mr. Fantasy” as the sun re-appeared at the track. Fittingly, “You Should Be Glad” would follow. Continue below for the setlist from NOLA.
