Watching My Morning Jacket play through a crystal clear stream in the Peach State’s capital city proved to be quite the solid way to round out the week. MMJ’s one-off appearance in the heart of ATL marks their first show since 1/2/13 and stands alone as the only date on the calendar while Jim James tours in support of his solo debut. The band took the stage right at 7:00 pm EST, opening with “Mahgeetah” in front of a sizeable crowd comprised of a notably high percentage of sports fans likely seeing (or even hearing of the band) for the first time. Noteworthy songs from the set included “Off The Record” (slightly different intro), “Touch Me I’m Going to Scream Part II”, the sunset “Victory Dance” and of course, “One Big Holiday” to round out the show. Check out the setlist from Centennial Olympic Park in ATL below.
