Phish rolled through Hollywood last night and chose to bust-out a somewhat non-obvious cover given the geography. In the middle of a second set of big heavy hitters, the band turned a Weekapaug Groove into a HYHU style affair with Trey switching to drums, leading to Fishman switching to a mini drum-set, and then a Paul Simon cover of “50 Ways to Leave Your Lover,” with the tweets declaring it, hopefully hilarious, a vocal trainwreck. I need to listen to the show before I pass any more judgment, but it was fun to watch on my roadtrip down from Oregon into the Tahoe area.
@PeteLikesMusic is still chasing his “Peaches en Regalia” which made my prediction of Peaches in LA at the Gorge super bittersweet for our crew. Let’s hope we get another one soon, maybe at UIC…

Our own Wesley Hodges was at the show last night, his sixth on record, and he was pretty psyched with the way it went down. His highlight first set was “Back on the Train” and he’s posting videos on his YouTube account as we speak. He’s got Peaches and the Split jam uploaded already.
