A while back, I rented We Jam Econo, the story and history of the legendary skate punk band Minutemen. It’s a fantastic historical document and history and back story on how the band came to be and how the death of their lead singer ultimately ended the band while they were at their peak. It’s incredible, really. I’d recommend it for anyone that ever listened to this band at all, or if they ever found themselves in a Sublime phase. Or maybe even if they always enjoy a good story about friends and friendship through making art together.
The video above is how the movie ends. I loved the way this live performance was shot and how the band shares a laugh while performing. It’s a solid acoustic mini set from a band that normally played loud, fast, and straight-up garage.
