Readers of the blog might start getting sick of my obsession with Animal Collective, but I would immediately argue with those readers and ask them to open their ears a bit more. In fact, I think this band has actually dwarfed Phish for me in terms of pure musical excitement. This band just constantly keeps me guessing and I’m really pleased to see how well the band came off on Late Show with David Letterman last night. The three pillars of groove behind flashing lights while robed dancers circle and noodle dance like they were attending a concert at — chew on that piece of meta musical goodness and watch the clip below really loud.
