Giveaway: MGMT with Francis and the Lights, AWOLNATION in Chicago

Lollapalooza is fast-approaching and it’s going to be rad weekend for live music in my old stomping ground, Chicago. We’ll have a man on the ground and be watching the coverage elsewhere, and ahead of that we have a little gift for the MGMT fans that are going to be attending the festival. We’ve got one pair of tickets to giveaway for the band’s after-show at House of Blues on Friday, August 6th with Francis and the Lights and AWOLNATION supporting. You can even get a chance to rock-it VIP style if you go and download AWOLNATION’s album.

Go ahead and drop a comment if you’re down for the free tickets and tell me what you’re favorite song off the latest release from MGMT, Congratulations. We’ll pick a winner at random on Thursday!

  1. personally, i like siberian breaks a lot — in all twelve minutes of glory.

you’ve got the day of the show wrong though, the 6th of August is a Friday — but i’d love to go to dare 2 dream and see MGMT, whichever day!

  3. i am in love with every song on the album, but if i had to choose a “favorite,” i’d say Siberian Breaks. it is an epic, beautifully sad song.

  5. Siberian Breaks, is like a new journey every time you hear it. I notice new bits of lyrics when I listen to it. It’s 12 minutes of magical, psychedelic glory. It takes your mind somewhere else, and is just beautiful. Not only my favorite song by MGMT and off of Congratulations, but my favorite song in general.
