The Allman Brothers Band announced their Beacon Theater run featuring 13 shows. Whenever I read this my jaw drops–13 shows man, that’s a s***load of ABB.

liveDaily has photos from a recent Los Lobos Kiko show. Check ’em.

Rolling Stone reviews The Strokes show from Chicago’s Park West from the other night. Crowd sing-a-longs? Wow.

If you’re in NYC, go see The Wood Brothers tomorrow night at the Living Room for free. Show starts at 8:00 p.m., and bready will be there.

There are some good shows coming up in Chicago and Milwaukee in the next month or so, and I plan on attending everything that I can. I’m definitely going to hit up Tea Leaf Green at the Abbey and STS9 at the House of Blues (if I can get comped in?), but I’ll be missing Umphrey’s McGee at the historic Chicago Theater. Woe is me–I’ll be in Europe.

Rumor: The Flaming Lips have been added to the SXSW Music Festival. I’ll update once confirmed…

Note to self: read these classic Neil Young interviews later…

And, in the non-music linkage category, check out this exchange between David Letterman and Bill O’Reilly from the other night (with video). “60% of what you say is crap…”–just beautiful. [via Stereogum]
