This past Friday night, the new supergroup known as Billy & The Kids — featuring Bill Kreutzmann on drums, Aron Magner from the Disco Biscuits on keys, Tom Hamilton from American Babies on guitar, and Reed Mathis from Tea Leaf Green on bass duties — played at The Capitol Theatre in New York to recreate some of the magic from the Grateful Dead’s famed Europe ’72 run. They were joined for one night only by Robert Randolph and they welcomed newcomers Lions on the Moon to open up the show. Lighting duties were held down by none other than Umphrey’s McGee’s LD, Jefferson Waful; the evening was quite the star-studded jamband affair all around.
Our friend Scott Harris was there to get photos from the show and brought back this gallery… —Editor
