Way Over Yonder kicks off this weekend on Friday and one of my all-time favorite family musical combos, The Barr Brothers, is in town to play the festival. They’re kicking things off on the main stage at 2pm on Friday and I’ll be there bright and early to catch the whole set. Also, it looks like they’re getting here a day or so early, as they’ll be stopping down at the KCRW Studios tomorrow to do a session live for Morning Becomes Eclectic. That kicks off at 11:15am.

Their new album Sleeping Operator comes out October 7th. Here’s a recent live video of the band doing the second track from the LP, “Love Ain’t Enough”, live on KEXP’s coverage from Pickathon.
