Earlier this year I caught wind that the Phoenix area was going to host a large-scale festival at some point during the winter, and I have some family down there so my ears perked up at the chance of catching a major music festival while staying for free on my cousin’s couch. Turns out this major music festival has huge plans in their inaugural year and they swung for the fences by booking top headliners like Bassnectar, The Flaming Lips and Wiz Khalifa. It’s called the True Music Festival, and at first glance I think this has potential to be a big one in time. It’d be great if they roll out a solid second-tier set of artists to round out the top of the list, but people travel for Bassnectar alone at this point and the lineup they’ve announced so far will definitely be an interesing day of music to the eclectic fans’ delight. Tickets will start at about $80 pre-Ticketmaster charges.
True Music Festival. “One-day will change everything.” Keeping to its name, TMF promises to bring you an experience unlike any Arizona has seen before. TMF will be the largest multi-genre single day music festival in the valley of the sun. Taking place in December 2013, at a state of the art facility in Scottsdale; True Music Festival will be bringing in the music industry’s top tier acts, as well as showcasing a bevy of local artists, musicians, and performers. At TMF, your experience is our number one priority; we plan on holding nothing back for the festival’s inaugural year!
