Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers are coming off high praise for their Arroyo Seco Weekend set this past Saturday night, and now that the radius clause is lifted, the band has confirmed that they’re making LA their final stop on their 40th Anniversary Tour.
Following the sell out of their Thursday, September 21 show at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers have confirmed a second night at the historic venue on Friday, September 22 due to overwhelming demand. Tickets for Friday, September 22 will go on sale Friday, July 21 at 10AM PST.
They’ll be welcoming Lucida Williams as the opener.
Williams has a long history with the band—the band recorded her song “Change the Locks” in 1996 for Songs And Music From ‘She’s The One,’ she opened for the band on the “Echo Tour” in 1999, and most recently, she performed Petty’s songs “Rebels” and “Southern Accents” when he was honored as the 2017 MusiCares Person Of The Year.
