Last night, I got my first taste of the Chicago distribution of Fat Tire Ale, arguably the beer that all hippies know and love and not a whole lot of other people have heard of. We had this discusson at the liquor store and everyone seemed to agree, “yeah, at that one Phish show I had some…” Per that liquor store, the Chicago distributor is already completely sold-out after less than a week of selling it in town. Awesome.
Jason Kottke’s year of reader-supported blogging didn’t go as planned and he’s going to give that idea up.
Personally, if I got 1400 readers to donate $40,000 to me, I feel that I would owe them more than a simple, “eh, my plans changed once everyone donated the money, so that’s why i haven’t put too much effort forth.” Felix says it best and I agree.
