STS9 is still on the road

Sound Tribe Sector 9 is still in the midst of its nationwide Artifact tour (which I unfortunately only got a chance to see one, oversold, cramped concert), and they’re continuing on, going strong, hitting about every other state that they hadn’t before.

This is going to do wonders for STS9 and their following. I think that a lot of people underestimate their power as a band. Let’s keep these guys together and keep them touring; I believe that these guys will be defining a lot of the sound of techno-jam subgenre for years to come. Read on for the announcement from the band…

Here’s the word straight from the band…

STS9 invites you all to join us on the second leg of our Artifact TOUR celebrating the release of our new album…Artifact. The response has been overwhelming and we couldn’t be happier. PHASE TWO of Artifact TOUR has us in some incredible places starting with 5 DAYS in sunny FLORIDA, a week in the SouthEast highlighted by 3 NIGHTS at the GEORGIA THEATRE, across the southern U.S to a 2 NIGHT RUN in AUSTIN, TX, then up the Califronia coast for 2 NIGHTS at the incredible WARFIELD THEATRE and finally a much anticipated return to the PACIFIC NORTHWEST!

Definitely get to the shows early as we’ve got a slew of amazing opening acts including Collective Efforts, Samahda, …iswhat!?, The Dead Kenny G’s feat. Skerik and Mike Dillon, Genetic, The Crown City Rockers, Richard Devine, Zilla & more TBA!

  1. I saw STS9 when they came through St. Louis, MO. It was a mind blowing show, they played without error, and really got the music to flow freely. It was a nice way to expierience the new music from Artifact for the first time. DEFINITELY A HIT

  3. That’s the problem I had when I saw the last HOB show, though.

Normally, whenever I see them, they are without error. This last time, they were not. Plus, it was as though this crowd just wasn’t that into STS9, and that usually makes for a lame show.

It sounds like you had a good crowd with a good STS9 setting.
