Song of the Day: Two-fer
Since we missed the post yesterday, you’re gettin’ not one but two Songs of the Day today. Count ’em.
The first is the legendary Foam from Athens, Georgia that the Benevento/Russo Duo and Cactus extended to one of the crazier 51-minute jams I’ve ever heard. Like many of you, I’m a huge fan of this trio, and this is easily the best thing in their catalog (although I am a big fan of the 9/4/04 Roundabout).
The second comes from Robert Randolph and the Family Band’s 2002 Bonnaroo set. And since the whole set is outrageously fantastic, I can’t pick just one song to post. So here’s the dance-inducing I Get Joy, a delicious cover of Voodoo Chile and the soul-tingling Swing Low, Sweet Chariot with the Del McCoury Band and DJ Logic.
Enjoy.
Ha, good to know you don’t hate me, just my earlier pick!
I have the Divided Sky, but I have to figure out a way to post it on here for everyone to download. Maybe I’ll remember to YSI later tonight.
I love that Roundabout, such a good version of that tune.

after hating on you for the “We’re an American Band” pick with Kidrock, I must give credit where it’s due.
That FOAM is awesome and the Roundabout even better (imo). Great picks. I had yet to hear the roudabout!
You should highlight the Divided Sky in UTICA w/ Trey and Mike. It was surreal and beautiful. The lawn boy tease at the end is just typical Phish. Apparently they looked to the side stage so everyone thought Page was coming out…then laughed and continued on…
