The nominees for the Class of 2013 are officially in. For the first time fans can cast their vote for 2013 inductees via an online ballot. Check out the fifteen nominees, how to vote and the always surprising list of Hall of Fame snubs.

Nominees: Albert King, Chic, , Donna Summer, , and the Blackhearts, , the Marvelettes, , , Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Procul Harum, , and .

For the first time in the Hall of Fame’s history, voting will be open to the fans via an Online Fan Poll. As of press time, already has a good lead with 28% of the fan vote. The top five artists will comprise a “fans’ ballot” that will be tallied along with the other ballots to choose the 2013 inductees. The 28th Award will take place on April 18th, 2013 at the Nokia Theater in , CA. The hasn’t been held on the West Coast since 1993. It will be broadcast on at a later date.

This is the first time and have been nominated for the Hall of Fame. They’ve been eligible since the 90’s. is a bittersweet nominee as the band’s founder and keyboard player Jon Lord died in July at the age of 71.
