(lineup update here)

The 17th Annual High Sierra Music Festival has announced its initial artist line-up. The Quincy, CA runs from Thursday, July 5th through Sunday, July 8th, 2007, and so far, includes the following artists:

(recently reunited!)

& The How to Grow a Band

Brian Auger’s Oblivion Express
Strings For Industry (featuring , Tony Furtado,
Scott Law, Tye North and Carlton Jackson)

Bobby Previte’s Coalition of the Willing
Afrobeat Project
The Mammals

Tony Furtado

Rev. Peyton’s Big Damn Band

’ Roughneck
Tzol & Tierro: the Kan’Nal Acoustic Duo

56 Hope Road
…and more acts TBA

As is usually the case, ’s line-up has a definitive West Coast vibe along , in my opinion, a solid streak of bluegrass and jam-friendly bands. does not appear to have much interest in going for the Indie Rock crowd, as we’ve seen some other festivals do in recent years. Looks pretty solid to me.

Looks like early bird are on sale for $145 and will be available at this price through March 26th or until they’re all sold. Get the rest of your ticket info at the HSMF website.
