There have been a bunch of small festival announcements and updates this week, so what better way to lump them all together than in one big humpday ‘heady links’ post?

The Coachella Music Festival kicks off this weekeend in Indio, California. There are a ton of great bands to check out, so you might want to customize your schedule or map out your plan of attack. But if you’re not one the lucky fans in Indio this weekend, you can still check out the madness via webcast at AT&T’s Blueroom.

Jazzfest also starts this weekend and has a similarly busy schedule of events. Chart out your show schedule with Jambase’s nifty grids.

The Pitchfork Music Festival has made yet another round of artist additions.

The Monolith Festival will take place at the beautiful Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO on September 14th -15th. No official artist announcements just yet, but I think this one is going to be big and might even rival some the Coachellas and Bonnaroos of the festival world. We’ll see.

Chicago played host to some great concerts as part of the Green Apple Music Festival this past weekend, including shows by Andrew Bird, Brothers Past, Akasha, the Drastics and Juice & the Machine, Umphrey’s McGee, and the Disco Biscuits. If you’ve got any reviews from New York or San Francisco, don’t be shy, drop us a line.

Speaking of the Disco Biscuits, they’ve announced the initial lineup for their annual Camp Bisco extravaganza. Camp Bisco VI will feature sets by Hallucinogen in Dub, STS9, Amon Tobin, a slew of other bands and DJs….and of course, three nights of Bisco madness.

The Asheville Music Jamboree takes place June 1st -3rd, and the lineup includes Michael Franti & Spearhead, the Avett Brothers, Toubab Krewe, and more. Can I get a “How you feelin!?!”

The 9th Annual Taos Solar Music Festival takes place June 29, 30 & July 1st at Kit Carson Park in Taos, New Mexico. The lineup includes Michael Franti & Spearhead, John Butler trio, and Big Head Todd & the Monsters, plus more TBA. Can I get a “How you feelin…about green energy!?!”

Mountain Jam 2007 has added some new artists (including Phil and Friends) and is also ‘going green.’

The All Good Music Festival has also made some recent additions, including the Benevento/Russo Duo and the Drive-By Truckers.

Do you remember Langerado? They’ve partnered with Indie911 to offer some downloads and videos from the festivities in Florida.
