Last night on stage at The Doobie Brothers show in Nashville at The Ryman, Michael McDonald came out and joined the band for “Taking It to the Streets” and then they announced they would be reuniting together for a 2020 North American tour celebrating their 50th anniversary. W O W.

Guitarists Tom Johnston and Patrick Simmons will be joined by singer-keyboardist McDonald and multi-instrumentalist John McFee and will all play together for the first time in nearly 25 years during the tour. The shows will kick off in West Palm Beach, Florida and concludes at the end of the summer in Houston, Texas.

Tickets for the 50th anniversary tour go on sale to the general public starting Friday, December 6th at 10 a.m. local time via Live Nation.
