The brilliant and eclectic Andrew Bird is a busy man these days. He’s currently out on tour St. Vincent, in support of his recent album, Noble Beast. The two artists will be featured on the next episode of Austin City Limits. The show will this Sat. Oct 24 but will also available for online , as we mentioned previously.

Bird also just announced a few special Midwest shows in and his home base of . The shows are being themed around the Dutch concept of “Gezelligheid” — which loosely translates to “coziness” — and they’ll feature him playing solo, focusing on instrumental pieces, and using ambient and giant horns instead of a more traditional amplified P.A. system. The rest of his tour continues well into 2010 and will take him to throughout North America, , Australia and Asia.

In addition, Bird’s October 16th performance at the Pabst Theater was recorded and subsequently released as a podcast by 88Nine RadioMilwaukee.
