The headlining lineups for the 2007 Virgin Music Festivals have all been announced (for the most part). Yes, that was plural — Virgin Music Festivals.
They’ve expanded their offerings this year to include a multi-day festival in Vancouver, along with their returning festivals in Baltimore and Toronto. Yesterday was their announcement on the Baltimore lineup…
Our music and cultural extravaganza returns to Baltimore’s Pimlico Race Course and has expanded to two days, August 4-5. This year’s incredible line-up features The Police, The Smashing Pumpkins and Beastie Boys!
Talk about a lineup that could actually compete with Lollapalooza’s sure-to-be-amazing lineup that already looks promising and will be announced soon enough.
The other Virgin Festival lineups have already been mentioned at brief over at Pitchfork…
The Vancouver festival takes place May 20 and 21 at Thunderbird Stadium, and, in addition to the Killers, its lineup includes My Chemical Romance, Metric, Hot Hot Heat, Thursday, Sebastien Grainger et les Montagnes, Rise Against, Stars of Track and Field, and AFI.
The Toronto weekend is September 8 and 9, and its lineup features Björk, Interpol, Smashing Pumpkins, Tokyo Police Club, Amy Winehouse, Paolo Nutini, and, of course, the Killers.
