Phish just finished celebrating the Fourth of July with some fireworks of their own in the form of “Fuego.” They repeated “555”, “Waiting All Night” and the already mentioned “Fuego” in just their third show of the tour, showing the commitment they have to the new material. “Fuego” was the clear highlight of the night stretching for over twenty minutes in what is easily the best version to date. And in staying true to Trey Anastasio’s word of “a lot less covers”, unless you count the traditional “Star Spangled Banner”, with which they opened with, Phish has yet to play a cover this Summer. We’ll see how long that lasts.
