I’m pleased to say that I’m about through with the finishing touches of a major Live Music Blog.com relaunch. For those reading in the feed, please stop on by the site for a look! For the past four years, the site has been running on Movable Type and I’ve been mostly loyal to the platform for as long as the site has been going. That said, it was time to try something new and I had to switch to a platform that had good template support, solid plugin support, and it had to be quick and lightweight in terms of installation time and support availability. All of that lead us to the decision that we needed to start running the site on WordPress. I have been using it to power my personal blog for the past few months, and it was incredibly easy to learn and pickup as I went along.
I’ve taken a cut at changing a few things on The Morning After template, and but all the credit is due there. It’s really a fantastic piece of work and one that I hope to use going forward given how easy it was to modify.
So there you have it. I’ve been wanting to make an upgrade on the platform for about eight months now, maybe nine, so I’m excited to see what you all think of it. Constructive feedback only, brah. I expect to make a few iterations and changes over the next week and hope to have it finalized by next weekend. Please send us an email or leave a comment here if you notice anything weird about the site. We’re going to be tagging a bit in the background, too, so if you notice a post that doesn’t seem to be in the right spot, please let us know! Send an email to vibes @ this domain.com!
