It’s mid-April and we’re already starting to see a slow-down in terms of music festival announcements, so I imagine that most everyone is beginning to plan their Summer fun. That’s always good.

As for myself, I’m throwing my hands completely up in the air in terms of my plans — I’m not sure I’m going to be hitting *any* music festivals this year except for those close to my Chicago home. Also, my musical taste has been all over the board lately — Battles, STS9, Menomena, The Bad Plus — and it’s really opened me up to some new bands that I wouldn’t have otherwise thought to listen to (except for STS9, maybe).

At any rate, maybe I’m looking too far ahead because there’s plenty of stuff going on right now. The festivities for Green Apple Music Festival begin this Friday in Chicago, New York City, and San Francisco — and I’ll be hitting as much in Chitown as time and energy allow. How about you guys?

Given that it’s hump day, I thought I’d give us some heady links to chew on for the day. Have a good one, folks…
