Well howdy there, folks…
It’s your friendly, well-rested Editor back again from a wonderfully sunny and refreshing vacation in Maui. We got back yesterday and I’m still trying to figure out what time my body thinks it is. We saw whales. We saw spinner dolphins. We saw rainbows. We saw chameleons. We saw a killer blowhole. We saw more whales. We drank a few Mai Tais, ate some mahi mahi and a few lobster tails, and drank Kona Brewing Co. beers like they were going out of style, all while coming down with a nasty case of bronchitis.
All in all, it was the vacation that I really needed and I’ve got that slight “end of vacation depression” now that I’m home in Chicago. My perspective is sharp as a knife, though, and that’s all that matters at this point as I head into next week’s schmooze-fest otherwise known as SXSW 2007.
I am quite psyched to see such a bustling week of activity here on this ‘ol music blog, thanks in most part to our new man in-house, Marcus Whitperson. I hope you liked the content, because you really don’t have a choice in the matter at this point. And you already knew that anyway. He really stepped it up while I was out and he’s been rewarded handsomely (yeah right) with an assignment down in sunny Florida for this weekend’s upcoming Langerado Music Festival. I can’t wait to see what he brings back for us.
Hope you all had a wonderful break from my normal half-assed writings and ramblings and expect a hell of a lot more of that to return to normal pace over the next few days…
