For some odd reason, I’ve never seen the Red Hot Chili Peppers live in concert. I’m glad to see that I just might get my chance during 2006…
Rick Rubin is behind the boards for their new double album, Stadium Arcadium, due out April 2006. They’re expected to announce a tour to follow the release, and I’m sure we’ll get plenty of chances to catch them in the US. Check back for the tour info when we have it…

Stadium-rockers Red Hot Chili Peppers have revealed details of their eagerly awaited new album, their ninth studio release, which will be released in April 2006.
The double album will be titled ‘Stadium Arcadium’, produced by Rick Rubin.
New song titles include:
‘Hard to Concentrate’
‘Dani California’
‘Desecration Smile’
‘Charlie’
‘Snow’
‘Stadium Arcadium’Band frontman Anthony Kiedis described the album as a lot different to 2002’s ‘By The Way’.
Kiedis said last year, “I’m so excited about it and I’m so ready for it to be part of the public consciousness. It’s a lot different to ‘By The Way’. There are some profoundly funky songs and then there are songs that are new for us and don’t sound like anything.”
Guitarist John Frusciante revealed earlier that “There’s heavier stuff than the band’s ever done, and there’s also a lot of beautiful, soaring melodies. I feel like everybody’s taking their instrument to a new level.”
The band are expected to announce tour dates to coincide with the albums release this Spring.
