Despite what I’d call a tremendous tragedy, I’ve made it through Christmas Day and I think I’m feeling better about it already. Christmas can be so unbelievably stressful, but in the end, it’s a day that should be spent with your family. I did just that, and I think that it really helped me where I needed it.

I’m back today and I’m already gearing up for the rager of a New Year’s Eve performance that will be Umphrey’s McGee and Keller Williams at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago. This is my third year in a row with UM on NYE, and I have to say that it’s easily one of the hottest tickets in town for NYE.

I’ll get my reviews posted (with some photos?) as soon as I can, and I’m interested in having some people guest-blog their reviews from New Year’s Eve elsewhere (although I would easily welcome additional thoughts in supplement to my own while). I have to wonder if the second night of Beck was better than the show we saw, but he’s got Kraftwerk on there (which was easily in my Top 3 for the year).

Names mentioned thus far include both the Spectrum as well as New York’s Madison Square Garden. The organization is currently trying to finalize several very important and crucial details to ensure such performances.
