I knew that this would be coming and I actually thought it would be a little sooner, but EVERYONE that reads this blog should check out this DVD come December 5.
When I saw Kraftwerk earlier this year, I can admit that I wasn’t sure what to expect. In actuality, I saw one of the best concerts I’ve ever seen. Hands down. Better than a couple of the Phish shows I had seen during their tenure, too. Now you’ll get a chance to see what I saw, feel what I felt, oh man, I get happy just thinking about it. I’m very pleased to report that they are taking their recent tour to DVD, and I’m sure it’ll be breathtaking.
Kraftwerk’s recent run of live shows will be chronicled on the DVD “Minimum-Maximum,” which shares its name with a double-disc live album released earlier this year via Astralwerks. Due Dec. 6, the DVD replicates that project’s set list and tacks on a live performance of “Aero Dynamik” at the 2003 MTV European Music Awards in Edinburgh.
On the same day, Astralwerks will unveil the “Notebook” boxed set in the shape of a laptop computer. It will house both the “Minimum-Maximum” CD and DVD as well an 88-page hardback book with rare photos and artwork.
