For all you Chicago music fans, here’s something you should try and be a part of. I’m not going to be able to attend this, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t…
March 19th, 2006 @ The Beat Kitchen mt.st.helens w/ Haymarket Riot, Bald Eagle & The Brokedowns
2100 W. Belmont, Chicago, IL (18 & over)
Come mourn the temporary passing of Chicago powerhouse label DIVOT RECORDS (home of Braid, Haymarket Riot, Sweep the Leg Johnny, The Sky Corvair, Rollo Tomasi & more) with two of Divot’s finest. Due to a recent fire, Divot’s inventory, as well as precious, Irreplaceable master tapes have been lost forever (think: mike sprague’s priceless virginity…oh how we wept). But this ain’t no benefit show, my friend (although it would be of benefit to you to attend). We’re gonna pour some out, but more importantly were gonna rock the FUCK out. Bald Eagle & The Brokedowns also play. Best believe.
