A zesty energy with lots of love was all over El Rey Theater right as the night’s heroes, Ra Ra Riot, took to the stage for their much awaited return to L.A. The fact that the band had recently lost a valuable member didn’t stop Wes, Mathieu, Milo and Rebeca from playing an intensely spirited show, featuring material from their latest album Beta Love, which released last month. Synth-pop with a live string section makes for a very entertaining show, much to the delight of the crowd, which will eagerly await the next time Ra Ra Riot swings back into town.
