News that Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds have revealed plans for a live date in Southern California to follow the release of their forthcoming new album has added fuel to rumors that the band will appear at Coachella 2013. According to The Scenestar (via NME), the Australian band will play Humphrey’s Concerts By The Sea in San Diego, California on April 16, 2013.

Of course, the timing of this announced show has stoked the rumor mill and an appearance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival (taking place over two weekends, April 12-14 and 19-21 only a few hours away in Indio, CA) now seems very likely.

In September, Cave also confirmed that his band’s new album would be released at the start of next year.
