It’s hard to believe it’s still the first year of existence for J. Tillman’s new band Father John Misty, given the widespread adoration the group’s debut LP Fear Fun has received. However, Tillman’s commanding vocal and physical presence as a front man isn’t conveyed until you see these guys live. Last night, the modern day Lizard King and his band made their first appearance on CONAN, playing “Nancy From Now On”. Father John Misty’s t.v. debut came on May 1st on Letterman and you can watch that performance here.
