VIDEO: Trey Anastasio Band covers

Trey Anastasio made his first appearance on last night in support of his latest effort, Traveler. Instead of playing a tune from that album, Trey opted for a cover of The Five Stairsteps’ “O-o-h Child.” An appropriate song with it’s message of “things are going to get brighter,” especially in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. Nice choice, Trey. Check out the performance.

has covered “O-o-h Child” throughout it’s history, dating back to 1999. I was lucky enough to catch the cover in 2001 at the Orpheum Theatre in Boston, MA. A highlight to this day.
