Trey Anastasio made his first appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night in support of his latest effort, Traveler. Instead of playing a tune from that album, Trey opted for a cover of The Five Stairsteps’ “O-o-h Child.” An appropriate song with it’s message of “things are going to get brighter,” especially in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. Nice choice, Trey. Check out the performance.

Trey Anastasio Band has covered “O-o-h Child” throughout it’s history, dating back to 1999. I was lucky enough to catch the cover in 2001 at the Orpheum Theatre in Boston, MA. A highlight to this day.
