WATCH: Elementary School PS22 Choir Covers Tame Impala

The LMB Team has been digging all-things recently in light of their mindboggling, delightful and kaleidopsych’d (Not a word. Maybe it should be?) new record, one that is likely to end up in the Top 1 or 2 on my personal year-end list. Therefore, when we came across this particularly rad cover of “Feels Like We Only Go Backwards” from their brand new 5-star LP Lonerism, we wanted to highlight this unique and angelic take here. The performers are the PS22 Chorus, a group of talented fifth graders from Public School 22 in Staten Island, NY with a history of taking on modern pop and indie tunes. Continue below and check out the video. There’s a good chance you’ve seen one of their other performances – the troupe has racked up over 44,000,000 YouTube views and counting.

FROM THE YOUTUBE DESCRIPTION

Chorus of 2013 does a lively acoustic cover of one of my favorite songs right now, “Feels Like We Only Go Backward” by the ultra-cool indie band TAME IMPALA! The kids only started this today at rehearsal, and did a rather amazing job considering (or NOT considering)….. Additional props go to our new drummer Nicholas, and the phenomenal duo of Jianna & Matthew!!

Finally, check out all the celebs who have hung with PS22 in their celebrity photo album.
