NEW RELEASE: Phish to release 2-DVD set of Star Lake ’98 Show (Available on 12-11)

Over the weekend a new listing appeared in ADA Music’s catalog. The info points to a release of ’s show from August 11th, 1998 in a 2-DVD set from JEMP Records, just in time for the holidays.

’98 is the only full show available in the band’s archives. The 2-DVD set was created from archival VHS videotapes of the 3-camera lawn screen feed. The audio was mixed from multi-track masters in stereo PCM and 5.1 surround.

The 2-DVD set has a release date of December 11, 2012 and a list price of $23.97. Ironically, this is one of the shows I remember downloading from Nugs.net in high school. The 8/11 gig saw the band’s first and only performance of Bob Marley’s “Trenchtown Rock” and a spirited 35-minute “Runaway Jim.”

Expect official word from Phish on how you can pre-order from Dry Goods soon.
