In recent years Colorado has seen a steady rise in ski resorts playing host to some epic winter concert events, and winter sports hotspot Vail Ski Resort will be no exception this season. To commemorate their 50th anniversary this year, the resort will be celebrating with Vail Snow Daze, a week long festival culminating in three nights of live music, no doubt aiming to please powder hounds and concerts enthusiasts alike. Vail has invited some big name guests to the party: The Shins, Michael Franti & Spearhead, and Wilco will be the respective headliners on Dec. 13-15. This is a stroke of luck of those of us who missed either Wilco’s or the Shins’ (or both!) tour stops at Red Rocks this summer.
