Just Announced: The Complete Last Waltz @ The Warfield, SF 11/24/12
Goldenvoice just posted ticketing information for a show billed as “The Complete Last Waltz” in San Francisco, CA on November 24th at the Warfield. One of those decisions that gets easier and easier once you look at who’s involved. Over the past few months we’ve seen a host of Levon Helm tribute shows but this one may take top honors when all is said and done. Read on for the complete list of musicians which includes members of Dr. Dog, Ween, Furthur, Marco Benevento, and many more!
Confirmed musicians so far:
Members of Furthur, Dr. Dog, Ween, Gomez, Nada Surf, The Lonely Forest, The Submarines and The Antibalas Horns. Along with Marco Benevento, Scott Metzger, Sam Cohen, Cass McCombs, Jon Shaw, Alecia Chakour, George Lewis Jr., Andy Cabic, Trixie Whitley, Eric Johnson and Blake Hazard.
The casts of Mad Men, Two Broke Girls and Man of Steel will also have spoken performances. Tickets go on sale this Friday, October 19th at 10AM PT. For those of you who haven’t seen the original Last Waltz, do yourself a favor and purchase it now. It is easily one of the best music documentaries that will ever be made.
