SoundLand Festival Announces 2012 Lineup (MMJ, Divine Fits and More)

Nashville’s fall season of big ticket outdoor events just got even better with the addition of the SoundLand Festival (formerly Next Big Nashville), a re-branding and relocation of the burgeoning local showcase to the Lawn at the Nashville Riverfront touting an impressive lineup. Two LMB favorites: (9/2012 LMB FEATURE) and the brand spankin’ new (8/2012 LMB FEATURE) lead the charge alongside rising stars of the Music City scene like and . The Nashville Riverfront went criminally underutilized after a number of short-lived (but awesome) Thursday night concert series (Dancin’ In The District) never quite gained a permanent foothold. There’ll definitely be many, many more acts when this thing’s said and done, but off-the-bat, this looks like a killer way to spend a Saturday. Also, the last time played the Nashville Riverfront on 8/15/08, this happened – easily fitting on the memory shelf alongside other peak live music moments.

Furthermore, along with Live on the Green and With Your Friends Fest, this addition to the October slate is making me long for the ability to just pack it up and go couch-surfing in my old home place for the entire month of October. Oh to be 19 again…
